Services

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans

A SWPPP: as required by the NDEP, Liquid Services's SWPPP Plans meet and exceed all general permit requirements. All SWPPP's identify potential sources of stormwater pollution on a construction, industrial and/or municipal site; describe stormwater control measures and Best Management Practices (BMPs) that will be used to reduce or eliminate pollutants in stormwater discharges from the project site; and identify the procedures the operator of the project site will implement to comply with the terms and conditions of the site-specific general permit.

Rain Event Inspections

As stormwater leaves a construction site, its flow can pick up and transport potential water pollutants into a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System or deposit directly into river, lake, or coastal water. As a mandate of the Clean Water Act, all site owners or operators whose construction projects will involve land disturbing activities on one 1 acre of land or greater and will be discharging wastewater and/or stormwater into surface waters of the U.S. are required to apply for coverage under a construction general permit.

Street Sweeping

Street sweeping will increase and maintain the value of your property, will assist in avoiding finical fines and help sell your product. Whether it is a parking lot, construction site, or a regular street, the area needs to be free of dirt and debris. A clean surface will help prevent slip-and-falls, which can save you thousands of dollars in legal fees. Street sweeping will pick up harmful substances that contaminate the environment. If these toxins are left on the streets, they will make their way into the storm drains and into our streams and waterways. In fact, street sweeping has been defined as a best management practice by the EPA in preventing storm water runoff.

Our commitment continues as we see job site demands enforced more rigorously every day. Concrete washout is one important element of compliance,and we offer it to our clients. Cement products such as concrete, mortar, grout, and stucco are known to have high pH levels that are harmful to water systems, wildlife, and soil. We make sure to keep the job site clean.

With many years of experience, we are the leaders in the design, installing and the maintenance of all requirements of B.M.P.’s. We strive to work within the builder’s budget and will ensure that your site will be in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements

Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) are a requirement of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) that regulates water quality when associated with construction or industrial activities. The SWPPP addresses all pollutants and their sources, including sources of sediment associated with construction, construction site erosion, and all other activities associated with construction activity and controlled through the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs). SWPPPs is to be prepared for construction sites over one (1) acre of disturbed area.

Inspections

Routine inspections for the site are required to ensure that the SWPPP is working and that the operators are not polluting “Waters of the US”. Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) requires that inspections for the project be conducted every seven (7) days and within twenty-­‐four (24) hours of a half inch or more rain event.
